A visit to this wonderful museum is being arranged for Sunday 6th May. The museum aims to restore and conserve artefacts that are significant to Bristol’s aerospace heritage. Central to this ambition is the Concorde (a real one …) which is housed at the museum. Also included in this are plans to bring a Bristol Freighter home to the UK from New Zealand to become the only one of its kind in Europe.
There is also an option to make it a weekend event and stay over at the Mercure Brigstow Hotel situated right on the riverside in the heart of historic Bristol. You can wander everywhere at your leisure with many fine dining (and drinking) establishments within a stone’s throw of the hotel. Adjacent secure parking is also provided at a hotel discount. Let Murray know if you are interested in staying at Mercure Brigstow and he will make enquiries as to a group discount “deal” for the weekend.

A visit to Bristol’s other Salt & Malt fish restaurant at Wapping Wharf (heart of Bristol) is also planned as part of this event.
