Ever wanted to drive your own car on track?

GCCG have booked the well known Curborough Sprint Course, to host a members-only trackday which had now opened its remaining places for non-members. Open to all, regardless of ability. Curborough operates as a sprint style event, with each vehicle moving onto track only when the previous one has completed their lap, meaning there is no chance of on-track paint trading! This event is perfect for those new to track driving, or those wanting to take their pride-and-joy out on track without the risk posed by other drivers.

🕰️ The plan for the day:

09:00 – Sign-on and arrival

09:30 – Safety briefing and vehicle inspection

10:00 – Start of morning track session for all vehicles

13:00 – (approx.) Lunch break for 1 hour (please bring your own lunch, there is no shop/café on site)

14:00 – Start of afternoon track session for all vehicles

17:00 – End of track driving

18:00 – (approx.) Closure of track and facilities

🎟️ There are three types of ticket available for this event:

• Driver and Car
  • This ticket allows for continual all-day access to drive on the sprint course
  • Vehicle must be in roadworthy condition
• Additional Driver
  • If you would like to add a second driver of your car to your booking, please add this ticket with the additional driver’s details
• Passenger/Spectator
  • If you would like to experience the thrill of the track, without taking your own car out on the asphalt, please select this ticket. Alternatively if you are driving and bringing people with you who will not be driving, please add this ticket to your booking

🗒️ TERMS AND CONDITIONS, IMPORTANT INFORMATION (Yes, it is a lot of information, but please do read it all)

• Drinks and light refreshments will be provided free of charge to all attendees
• There is no café on site, so please bring your own lunch
• EV / Hybrid vehicles are not permitted to drive on track due to circuit fire safety regulations
• No 3 wheeled vehicles allowed
• 105dB maximum static noise limit (typical for most tracks, most vehicles operate nowhere near this limit)
• Minimum age of any attendees is 18 due to indemnity rules
• NO DOGS / PETS, NO EXCEPTIONS
• Seat belts are mandatory if fitted, if your vehicle is not fitted with seatbelts you will not be permitted to take passengers around the track
• Passengers in front seats of vehicles only, maximum of 1 passenger per car
• Helmets are recommended for all vehicles, however are only REQUIRED for convertibles
• Clothing MUST cover arms and legs fully (i.e. no shorts, t-shirts or short-sleeves etc)
• Attendees are responsible for organising insurance to provide coverage for their vehicle during the event if they wish (this is not mandatory), vehicle damage or damage caused to the track by their vehicle will not be covered by GCCG or your usual car insurance
• A maximum of one additional driver is permitted for each car
• Fuel is not available to purchase on-site, however refuelling from a suitable container in the controlled pit area is permitted. A petrol station is situated approximately 2 miles away from the circuit
• Egress/ingress of the track and event site will be controlled using coloured wristbands
• Decisions of the marshals are final and will not be up for debate. If you drive recklessly you will be told to leave and no refund will be given. If your vehicle in unsafe you will not be allowed on track
• The event will not be cancelled due to rain etc. (within reason)
• All attendees will be required to sign an indemnity form, without exception, in order to access the event
• Please bring a valid driver’s licence to allow you to go out on track
• TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE, however if you are unable to attend after booking a ticket you are able to transfer the ticket to someone else by emailing your details and their details to memebrship@gccg.org.uk
