The GCCG West Midlands region in the heart of the country covers the central West Midlands conurbation and the surrounding counties of Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire. As the hub of Britain’s motor industry past and present, our membership has a strong affection for cars produced in the area and many of our local members are directly connected to the industry.
There are two monthly social meets in the region – our long established Coventry meet, principally serving members in the east and south of the region, and our popular Whitchurch meet attended by members from the north and west of the area (and beyond!).
As well as being the centre of the country’s motor industry, the West Midlands is also home to many major national car events attended by the GCCG. The Practical Classics Restoration Show and Classic Motor Show are both hosted at the NEC in the east of Birmingham on an annual basis, and further south we have the British Motor Museum at Gaydon where the GCCG attends various events throughout the year.
There is always lots happening in the area so please keep an eye on the calendar for new events.

Richard hails from Shropshire and despite now residing in Cheshire, retains strong links with the area. In common with many other club members, he has a passion for British cars, particularly those that left the gates of the Longbridge factory.
Whitchurch – Chris Langford northmids@gccg.org.uk
Chris leads our north West Midlands sub-region and hosts the social monthly meet at Whitchurch, Shropshire. Chris is well known for his extensive fleet, most of which hails from the West Midlands and sports a Rover badge.
Coventry – Chris Spreadbury
Chris runs our long-running Coventry monthly social meet and various events in that area including the popular Coventry Motofest. Chris also has great affection for cars hailing from his native West Midlands, owning an Allegro and a Princess amongst others.
