South East

Hello, I’m Iain Dowdeswell, the Area Organiser for the South East region – covering the  locations of Kent, East/West Sussex and East Surrey (mainly the RH postcodes).

I wanted to give something back to the GCCG. It’s so important to have a place where you  can be yourself, feel welcome, and enjoy chatting about the cars we all love with like minded people.

By day, I am an IT Project Manager for a large Japanese corporation, and I also chair the company’s LGBTQ+ DEI Network.

My love of cars started when I was a child, going out for rides in my father’s friend’s Ford  V8 Pilot and Vauxhall Cresta, memories that definitely stuck with me.
