Come to Faversham in Kent on Satuday 16th September!
Frognal is a historic farmhouse with mediaeval foundations as well as Tudor and Georgian wings. It was almost derelict when taken on by Paul Townson and his partner Mark in 2015. They are slowly unpicking the rot and the damages of time and vandalism before restoring it. The house is in a state of complete ‘undress’ with scaffolding on, floorboards up and ceilings down and will fascinate anyone interested in historic architecture.
On the Day
With plenty of land for parking and lawns for picnics (with alternative indoor spaces as weather dictates), Paul and Mark will give either short or long tours for those of differing degrees of interest in the buildings. There will be tea urns at the ready for refreshments later on. I will be staying near Faversham on Saturday – so maybe some of us can get together for a social meal in the evening.
There will be a small charge of £1 per person to underwrite any event costs of the day.
